Child and Adolescent Mental Health is Everyone’s Business

The vision of the African Association For Child & Adolescent Mental Health is that every child and adolescent on the African continent will enjoy optimal mental health.

Education & Public Awareness

Through public campaigns, workshops, and educational initiatives, we raise awareness about mental health concerns impacting children and adolescents.

Advocacy

We aim to ensure that mental health is prioritized on public health agendas and that enough resources are allocated to support youth mental health services.

Evidence-Based Practices & Research

We perform studies to better understand child and adolescent mental health challenges. This research aids in the identification of risk factors, the development of effective interventions, and the informing of policy decisions.

Assistance & Referral Services

We provide assistance to children, adolescents, and their families. Counseling, therapy, and support groups are all part of this.

Professional Training & Development

We offer training and professional development to mental health professionals, educators, and other professionals who work with children and adolescents.

Collaboration & Networking

We work with a variety of stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations. This collaboration contributes to the development of a comprehensive support network and ensures a coordinated approach to treating mental health needs.
